All withholding schedules and tax tables have been updated. The changes apply from 1 July 2026.

If you employ staff, take note of the changes. Make sure you know how much you need to withhold from the payments you make to your employees and other workers.

👉 link the ATO to your myGov account
👉 set up and use the myID and ATO apps for extra security
👉 receipts (for any deductions you’re entitled to claim)
👉 your bank details.

From 1 April to 30 June 2026, the fuel tax credit rate for petrol and diesel is 20.6 cents per litre.

This change is due to the 60.9% temporary reduction in fuel excise.

👉 If you claim fuel tax credits, this update may affect your next BAS.
