In a simple explanation, Currency Reserves are Bonds. Bonds are loans that other countries owe you. The collective Asian countries (and also the BRIICS+ countries) hold so much of other nations Bonds that it becomes hard for Debtor nations to go to war against them (think US/UK/EU). Depending on your perspective this can be good or bad, but you cannot escape that Currency Wars are usually the first shots fired as Empires Collapse. Perhaps this is why the BRIICS+ countries have been accumulating so much Gold over the last 4 years. We expect this trend to continue.
