🤓 TATTATs: Tight Arse Tuesday Tips and Tricks.

👋🏼 Welcome to 2025 TATTATs.

👨🏼‍🍳 Being school holidays get your chef hat on and keep the kids busy for a moment. No kids? That's ok! Big kids at heart also love these. They're easy and no previous chef experience is required.

🧀 CHEESY SAUSAGE ROLLS:
500g of minced meat of your choice. I've used beef, chicken and a combination of pork and beef (250g of each). All work well.
1 medium carrot grated
1 medium zucchini grated
1 brown onion
4 button mushrooms or 1 mushroom portobello
1 egg
1/4 cup Worchester sauce
1 1/2 tbsp tomato sauce
6 puff pastry sheets
Grated cheese for the topping. I go by look not a measurement herenqnd finish off with a dash of milk to ensure the golden goodness on top.

Get the puff pastry out of the freezer to allow it to defrost while preparing the above ingredients.

Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend. Otherwise combine all ingredients in a bowl.

🥄 The meat mixture onto the pastry. Roll the pastry over the meat and then cut off the excess. Keep this for a sweet treat later (think Nutella pastry).

Brush the top with milk and then add the cheese. Then cut into whatever size sausage rolls you'd like. As an alternative top with sesame seeds. My kids won't touch them with sesame seeds 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Bake in 220 degree fan forced over for approx 20-25 mins. Remember all ovens are different. As well as the size you cut your sausage rolls. If small and thin less time. If larger more time might be needed.

Allow to cool for 5 mins and pastry base to harden. Then enjoy ☺️

🥶 Freezes well. Re-warm in the oven or air fryer. Makes approx 25 depending on how big or small you cut them.

🌏 Is travel on the cards for 2025 but you're not sure how to budget for it?

🤓 You've come to the right place! Our budget busters have 5 simple steps to get you to your destination of choice!

Step 1: Plan your trip. Where do you want to go? How long for? What activities will you do? How much will it cost? Will you use a travel card, credit card or cash? Who's going with you? Will you use a travel agent or do it yourself?

Step 2: Research your trip. What day is cheapest to fly? What time of year do you want to go? Do you need specific clothing? Realistically step 1 and 2 can be alternated, you can research then plan. It just depends on what works best for you and the size of the trip.

Step 3: Time to book. Now is the fun part. Bringing all your hard work to life. Make sure you've allocate space in your monthly budgets to book flights and accomodation. These are the two biggest experiences. Do you need a car? Book your activities. Do you need travel visas? Arrange your travel card or cash. Pay for something each month, this will allow for less of an upfront expense when booking your holiday. Small bite size pieces are more doable.

Step 4: Time to unwind. Departure day has arrived. You're travelling with most things paid off before you even depart. Go and make the most of your holiday, you can relax knowing you've planned for this. The small sacrifices you made throughout the year have paid off. Sot back and enjoy your holiday you deserve it!!

Step 5: Did you return with a small debt? Ensure you allow room in your budget for paying off your debt ASAP. If you can find the small sacrifices before your trip then you can afterwards as well. Once it's paid off you can start planning your next adventure 🗓️✈️.

🌏 Happy holiday planning!!
