Since March, PlantPro Equipment Hire has financed five assets through us: three excavators, a tipper and now a brand new Chevrolet Silverado.

Every asset has been approved on a low doc basis with Tier 1 lenders, supporting the business as it continues to expand its fleet and take on more work.

For this latest acquisition, we secured a low doc, no deposit facility through BOQ, keeping cash in the business while adding another asset to the operation.

Five settlements since March. Three excavators doing the work, a tipper moving material and now a Silverado doing the driving.

Client was already at the dealership, bank cheque in hand, ready to take the car that day. He wanted to finance the purchase but he wasn’t waiting around, so he settled in cash and took delivery.

Let’s look at the structure:
Sale and leaseback | Low doc
2025 VW ID.Buzz Pro $85,000
Metro Finance | 60 month term | 40% residual
Broker: James Alexander
Referred by: Mortgage broker

This is where a sale and leaseback comes in... rather than unwinding the purchase, Metro Finance reimbursed the cash he’d already spent, converting it into a finance contract. The business keeps its cash, the client keeps the car and the finance is in place as if it had been set up from day one.

The catch was that Metro don’t typically approve sale and leaseback on Low Doc and the business had been trading under two years. Both went through as exceptions.

The funny thing is, finance wasn’t what was annoying this client.

It was having to explain the same business to a different person every couple of years.

New banker.
