What is a reasonable response to the health risks posed by RF radiation? The tech industry claims that there is no risk, despite thousands of studies that show adverse biological effects. Then there is the other extreme, with health gurus and anti-technologists claiming that you must through away anything with an electric current running through it.
I take a more moderate position on it. Wireless digital technology is here to stay so we need to figure out a way to best mitigate the health risks associated with the use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi routers.
RF radiation creates stress on the body and causes damage, in much the same way alcohol, a lack of quality sleep and a bad diet will cause damage. It appears to have a cumulative impact on the body, that over a number of years, results in higher incidences of diseases such as cancer.
What everyone needs to be able to do is to understand the risks and take steps to reasonably reduce their family's RF exposure. We all get in a car and drive in traffic everyday knowing that there is a chance we could be killed or seriously maimed in an accident, so we take steps to lower our risk. We invest in safer cars, better roads, seat belts, speed limits and automatic braking technology. The same approach needs to be taken for RF radiation.
Don't listen to the tech industry claiming that there is no risk. Don't listen to the crazy people on the other side saying you need to throw away your phone. The path to tread is somewhere in the middle.
