Hi, we're Jaclyn and Ruth, the team behind JAR. We built right here in Mooloolaba from the ground up and work with everyday employees, tradies, small business owners, side hustlers, landlords and everyone in between.

Deductions most people forget to claim!

Are you leaving money on the table every year? You'd be surprised how many people miss these four at tax time 👇

1. Union fees & subscriptions
If you're a member of a union, industry body, or pay for work-related trade journals — that's a deduction. Keep your annual statement and you're good to go.

2. Phone & internet (work portion)
Use your personal phone or home internet for work? You can claim the work-related percentage. Track your usage over a 4-week period and apply it to the full year.

3. Income protection insurance
If you're paying for this outside of super, the premiums are generally tax deductible, and most people have no idea. It's one of the most overlooked deductions we see.
