Here's what actually happens when you book in with us:

BOOK: You book an appointment and we'll confirm your time and let you know what to bring with you.

GATHER YOUR DOCS: TFN, payment summaries, receipts, bank details. Don't stress if it's not perfectly organised. Bring what you have and we'll work through the rest together.

SIT WITH US: Come in for a chat so we can ask the right questions, dig into your deductions and make sure nothing gets missed.

WE LODGE: We handle everything with the ATO. Your return gets lodged properly and your refund lands directly in your account.

4 reasons not to wait on your tax return this July 🍃

Tax isn't exactly the most exciting thing on your to-do list. But here's why lodging early is genuinely worth it:

Your refund lands faster: The sooner you lodge, the sooner that money is back in your pocket. What's not to love about that?

Beat the rush: This is our busiest time of year and appointment spots fill up quickly. Getting in early means you get the time that suits you, not whatever's left over.

Avoid late penalties: If you lodge your own return, the deadline is 31 October. Miss it and the ATO can issue a Failure-to-Lodge penalty which isn't ideal. Using a registered tax agent like JAR also gives you access to an extended lodgement deadline (another reason to book in early!)

Peace of mind: This reason is underrated, but getting your tax done early means you can stop thinking about it. No more "I really should do my tax?" or "I can't forget to" hanging over your head for months.

Tax time is here! Here's what to bring to your appointment

Preparing for your tax return doesn't have to be stressful. A little organisation goes a long way. Here are three things to have ready before you sit down with us 👇

1. Your personal details
TFN, bank account details (BSB + account number), Medicare card, and your private health insurance statement. The basics that keep everything moving smoothly.

2. Your income documents
Payment summaries, any ABN income or invoices if you're self-employed, Centrelink letters, interest and dividend statements, and rental income records if applicable.

3. Your deductions
Work-related receipts, vehicle logbook or km records (anything you've spent money on to do your job). Not sure if something counts? Bring it anyway and we'll work through it together 🍃

The more organised you are coming in, the faster we can get your return lodged and your refund on its way.

The financial year closes at midnight tonight, so if there's anything left on your list, now's the time.

Last chance to:
- Make that super top-up
- Prepay any deductible expenses
- Donate to a registered charity (DGR)
- Buy that work tool or equipment you've been putting off

After tonight, it waits until next year. And from tomorrow? Tax season officially opens. You can start getting your return together, and the sooner you lodge, the sooner your refund lands!

June 30 is coming fast. Here's what to do RIGHT NOW!

A few small moves before the end of financial year can make a real difference to your tax position. Don't leave it until July when it's too late.

- Prepay deductible expenses If you've got income protection premiums, work-related subscriptions, or tools you need to buy, do it before 30 June and claim the deduction this financial year, not next.

- Get your receipts in order Don't wait until July to go hunting. Pull together your work-related receipts, invoices, and any logbook records now. Don't worry, we can sort through it together.

- Review your investment portfolio If you've had capital gains this year, consider whether selling any underperforming assets before 30 June could help offset them. Worth a conversation with us if you're unsure.
