An Evening of Stories, Ideas & Connection

Gold Coast Conversations is a new networking experience designed to bring together some of the city’s most interesting leaders, early-career professionals, and people who care about where the Gold Coast is heading.

The evening is intentionally relaxed with good food, drinks, and genuine conversation. This paired with short keynote talks from leaders who have each played a distinct role in shaping the Gold Coast’s story.

The Queensland Government has released the latest Business Queensland Connect newsletter, highlighting support available to small and family businesses during ongoing uncertainty.

Key updates include free business mentoring and financial counselling, ATO relief measures, Queensland Small Business Month events in May (including expos in Cairns, Gold Coast and Brisbane), apprenticeship wage subsidies, disaster recovery grants for eligible LGAs, and security grants to help businesses protect against crime.

The edition also shares tools for staff retention, tendering support, business promotion opportunities, and key upcoming dates including public holidays and the May FBT lodgement deadline.

Firstly, we want to acknowledge the increased uncertainty faced by Queensland small businesses. Whether businesses need financial counselling or business mentoring, it’s timely that we remind the Queensland small business community of the support available to them.
