As many of you know, our office has been closed as we navigate a devastating family loss.

Last night, I had to put on a brave face and travel interstate to attend an awards event when every part of me wanted to be somewhere else. In the midst of everything, I was honoured to receive an award.

I work with families through life’s biggest challenges every day, but when it’s your own family, it really hits home.

Normally I’d be shouting it from the rooftops, but this week has reminded me that what truly matters is family, friends and the people who show up when you need them most.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with kindness, support and understanding. It has meant more than you’ll ever know.

Being a mum is watching pieces of your heart walk around outside your body ❤️‍🩹

It taught me resilience before I even knew what resilience was. It taught me how to keep going when I was tired to my bones, how to make hard decisions under pressure, how to trust myself and how to build a life for my boys no matter what was happening around us.

For a lot of years it was just me, raising boys and working super hard. Some days felt heavy and impossible, but somehow we got through them all.

Motherhood changes you.
It makes you softer, stronger, wiser and tougher all at once.

To all the mums carrying the invisible load every single day… I see you 🤍

There’s a big difference between having super… and knowing what to do with it.

We often hear, “it’s just a simple switch into retirement.”

It’s not.

This is where the real decisions happen - how your income is structured, how long your money lasts, how Centrelink assesses you and what that means long term.

It’s not about overcomplicating things… it’s about doing it properly.

Because the decisions you make here matter.

A lot of the people we meet aren’t doing “the wrong thing”…

They’ve built good super, worked hard and they've done their best with what they know.

But as retirement gets closer, there’s this quiet uncertainty…

“Is it enough?”...“Am I making the right decisions?”....“What happens when the pay stops?”

That feeling is more common than you think.

It's exactly where good advice makes the biggest difference, not just financially, but emotionally too.

Clarity changes everything.
