At AABS we love numbers! Do you find that weird? Somewhat perplexing? That’s ok, let me explain why we love numbers so much...Think about it, no matter where you are right now and if you are reading this then you are obviously on some sort of device like a computer, laptop, mobile phone, etc - everything that is surrounding you has been diligently created with numbers. Now I personally find that fascinating! All the angles of your home, the chair you are sitting on, the car you drive, the medium with which you are reading this - all required the exact correct set of numbers to work! Cooking requires specific measures of numbers to ensure that the finished product tastes exquisite, yes? I could go on and on with examples but I won’t bore you....

Are you a little more interested in numbers though? Never mind if it is a no because I certainly am and to me they tell quite a story - sometimes a novel - about your individual financial circumstances, your business currently, the business you would like to buy, the investment property you are looking at buying, the business you are thinking of purchasing - numbers will not lie. My extensive experience allows me to see right through any “creative figures”, so as I said the numbers cannot and do not lie.

I personally get enormous satisfaction from what seemingly appears to be a chaotic “messy” bunch of receipts and statements with all types of numbers and then putting them together -somewhat like a jigsaw puzzle - to produce a set of accounts that tell the true story about the business, the investments, the current status and the projected future status. The figures that are produced will be accurate and can be relied upon to present to any bank and most certainly the basis upon which the tax return will be produced to lodge with the Tax Office.

The other thing I love is Budgets! I really do! Did you know that the most financially successful businesses and households all have one thing in common? A budget & a budget projection.
