Heatwave tips for small businesses to help survive this weeks heatwave 🌞 🔥 🥵

For your staff :
- if unavoidable to be in the heat take care to seek shade if possible, extra breaks and be SunSmart 😎
- have extra hydration, like gatorades/poweraids to replace fluids, zooper doopers, slushies are great too
- stagger shifts, working earlier, later

For Client/Customer care :
- communicate any change of trading hours or hot weather policy directly or on socials. Repeat clients will understand a delay or closure due to the heat.
- offer home delivery or bring out to their car, so customers don’t leave kids/pets in hot cars or be getting kids in/out of car seats in this heat
- offer free cups of water to customers instore or a seat to rest on. Not everyone had got AC at home, they may appreciate a moment of cool.
- check in on any elderly or venerable clients if they are a no show for an appointment this week (where possible). A skipped appointment might be a sign somethings wrong.
