This is one of the most common questions I hear from business owners.

And it's a great question.

Because making a profit doesn't automatically mean you have cash in the bank.

Here are a few reasons why:

The things I do to stop the chaos...

After years of working with small business owners, as well as in my own business, I've noticed something.

The business owners who feel calm and in control aren't necessarily working less.

They're just doing different things.

Here are some of the habits I see repeatedly:

✔️ They know their numbers.

✔️ They review their cash flow regularly.

✔️ They stop trying to do everything themselves.

✔️ They have systems and processes in place.

✔️ They make decisions based on facts, not fear.

✔️ They ask for help before things become overwhelming.

The business owners who struggle the most are often incredibly hardworking.

But hard work alone doesn't create clarity.

Understanding your business does.

Running a business can be lonely in a way that's hard to explain to people who haven't done it. Your family loves you. Your friends cheer you on. But they don't always get the 2am anxiety spiral over a late invoice, or the weird guilt of taking a day off, or the high of landing a client you've been chasing for months.

This is my favourite kind of Friday exit, BAS done, books closed, husband successfully relaxing in the sunshine, his favourite place to be. ☀️
