Lots of coffees and chats happening for us this week as we approach EOFY, and a lot of the convos have highlighted the importance of looking after your mental heath as a business owner.
We love it when our clients are real with us about how they’re feeling, so we’re bringing the convo to socials.
Running a small business is a rollercoaster, and this season of business for a lot of people hasn’t been smooth sailing. Rising costs, economic uncertainty, and slower consumer spending has meant that a lot of business owners are feeling a bit flat.
While it is normal in business to have huge highs, there’s also sometimes periods of very low lows. When this happens, it’s so important to put your hand up and say that you’re not having a good time.
If you’re experiencing a not so great season right now; there’s services available for business owners who need them:
🌻NewAcces by Beyond Blue - 6 free confidential mental health coaching programs for business owners via phone or video
🌻 Small Business Debt Helpline - confidential advice is available if you’re struggling with debt - call 1800 413 828
🌻 Emergency and Crisis Support - call Lifeline on 13 11 14
🌻 Visit your GP and get a mental health treatment plan - Medicare subsidises up to 10 therapy sessions a year.
Remember, just because being in business is hard sometimes, doesn’t mean you need to struggle through it in your own! Here’s your reminder before we kick off the new financial year that you’re allowed to ask for help when you need it.
We’re also here to support you if you’re needing some help understanding your numbers, need a hand outsourcing some financial tasks that are causing you stress, just need a financial reset, or need to put an exit strategy in place for you to get out of your business.
Look after yourselves, and remember social media is a highlight reel, not the full story 🧡
