Together, we've raised $44,662 so far for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout! In just a few days, Chris Dexter, Steve Allan, Duane Rogers, Stephen O'Flynn, Vincent Shi, Jeremy Wicht, Michael Goodrick, John Dorazio, Matthew Hingeley, and Bessie Zhang from SW will join thousands of Australians taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to help raise awareness and critical funds for people experiencing homelessness.

While one night sleeping outdoors cannot replicate the reality faced by those without secure housing, it serves as a powerful reminder of the challenges many Australians encounter every day and the importance of supporting services that provide practical assistance and pathways to stability.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, an important reminder that behind every statistic is a father, son, brother, friend, colleague, or client who may be struggling in silence.

Over many years we have partnered with mental health advocate and leader in men's mental health, David Westgate, to help improve our understanding of mental health generally, running mental health first aid training, and opening doors to how men require different support.

Last year we heard from former AFL footballer and mental health advocate Tom Boyd, who shared his personal journey through the highs of elite sport and the challenges of severe insomnia, depression, and anxiety that led him to step away from the game at just 22 years old. Tom now partners with organisations to support mental health awareness, build resilience, and strengthen leadership and high-performance capabilities.

As a sponsor of WiBF, we also acknowledge Tim Hewson, whose vision and passion helped bring the Mental Health Champion Award to life, for which our CMO, Amanda Lee, was the inaugural winner. Tim is the Founder of the award-winning Mongrels Men Health & Wellbeing mental health charity and 'His Story' - Australia’s only live and regular male storytelling event.

Through our long-standing involvement with the Black Dog Institute, Vinnies CEO Sleepout, Stride Mental Health, and Movember, we continue supporting efforts that raise awareness, drive funding, and strengthen conversations around mental health, homelessness, and su***de prevention across Australia.

As part of our Volunteer Day initiative, Tyler Pawson, Henry Liu, Daniel Tang, and Abdur Tahir spent the day supporting RDA Blaxland (Riding for the Disabled Association) by refreshing their kitchen facilities with a fresh coat of paint.

Reflecting on the day, the team shared:
"Our volunteer day at RDA Blaxland was a meaningful opportunity to give back, with a tangible impact that reinforced the importance of supporting local community organisations."

During National Reconciliation Week, we acknowledge this year’s theme, All In, and encourage reflection on the role we can each play in advancing reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a week that reminds us that reconciliation is a shared commitment, built through learning, respectful engagement, and the everyday actions we take to create meaningful change.

At SW, we acknowledge reconciliation as an ongoing journey, and through our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we are continuing to build respectful relationships, strengthen cultural understanding, support inclusion, and consider how we can contribute to positive change within our firm and the wider community.

As part of our Volunteer Day initiative, teams travelled to Healesville for a day with TreeProject, planting over 1,000 trees to restore habitat around a dam. This will support the return of local birdlife, while also improving water quality and soil health over time.

Reflecting on the experience:
"Having a day away from the usual work we do as accountants gave me the chance to engage in something practical and still meaningful in a different way. I left with a sense of appreciation for how simple actions can contribute to the community."

"It was a great chance for us all to get outdoors, have a laugh, and work together on something meaningful."

We welcomed 140 students to our Melbourne office and 60 students to our Sydney office, giving them an insight into Australia’s best kept accounting secret. From hearing directly from our Partners about the different divisions across the firm to gaining valuable insights from our graduates through a panel discussion, students were able to discover endless possibilities with a career at SW, while also connecting with our people during networking sessions.

It was wonderful to welcome both new and familiar faces, share insights from across our teams, and provide a glimpse into life at SW. From engaging conversations to meaningful connections, the event truly reflected the collaborative and inclusive culture we’re proud of.

In 2025, the Vinnies CEO Sleepout united over 1,500 business, government, and community leaders across Australia and raised more than $9.4m. The impact was tangible and far-reaching:
- 30,099 people supported nationwide
- 70,010 nights of accommodation provided
- 316,040 meals delivered.

These figures represent real people and families receiving safety, stability, and essential care when they need it most.
