Romulae loves numbers and making his clients smart about their finances, not just at tax time but throughout the entire year. Today, as DIRECTOR of Gadaoni Advisory Pty Ltd, Romulae is leading a full service of a growing Consultancy Firm that serves Tax and Accounting, Home Loans and Financial Planning. He serves a diverse clientele in multiple industries and categories from real estate, doctors, dentists and other business professionals. “I love meeting people and I have a strong knowledge in Self-Managed Super Fund and Financial Planning”. I think I really know that I had found my career when I had a meeting with a couple closed to retirement age and I was able to get them on the right track financially by providing sensible, tailored strategies and professional and straightforward advice. Do you know how it feels when somebody appreciates you for just doing your job?”

Romulae’s passion is to help small business owners to reach the next level of success. “Our goal is to provide financial leadership, guidance and advice that business owners can use to help grow their businesses and become more successful.” For many of our clients, we are like a Chief Financial Officer, handling business accounting services including payroll, bookkeeping and tax compliance.”

Prior to Gadaoni Advisory, Romulae saw business from both the inside and out. He served as Director/Owner of TOWNCARS Deer Park, a Hire Car company, and AUSTCLEAN, a cleaning company where he oversaw the finances and operations. He was involved also in budgeting, forecasting, inventory and internal control of his business. In addition to that, he practised Accounting, Audit, Law and Tax Compliance for almost twenty (20) years from various companies.

“Working in all aspects helped me gain a deep understanding of running a ground-up business with all its challenges and I bring these skills to my clients”, he adds.

Sunday Reflection: Perhaps You Already Have Enough. 🤍👇

Imagine complaining about something you once begged God to give you.

A little uncomfortable to think about, isn’t it? But I think we’ve all been there. Myself included.

The job you once prayed for now leaves you exhausted.

The business you dreamed of starting now comes with stress and responsibilities.

The home you longed for now needs cleaning, repairs, and bills paid.

And I understand. Life doesn’t suddenly become easy because our prayers have been answered. There are still problems, responsibilities, and days when we simply need to rest.

We can be tired and thankful at the same time.

But sometimes, we need to pause and remember how far we’ve come.

Perhaps the ordinary life you have today includes the very things you once prayed for with tears in your eyes.

It’s okay to want more. To grow. To work towards a better life.

But while we’re reaching for what comes next, may we appreciate what is already here.

👉A simple meal.
👉A peaceful home.
👉Someone to share the day with.
👉Enough for today.

Contentment doesn’t mean giving up on our dreams. It means learning to enjoy our blessings while we pursue them.

Someone out there is still praying for something we get to experience every day.

This Sunday, before we ask for more, perhaps we can pause and whisper:

“Thank You, Lord. I remember when I prayed for this.” ❤️

I may look broke. But appearances don’t show the whole balance sheet.

An older car. Simple clothes. An ordinary lunch.
I’m comfortable with that.

Over time, I’ve become more interested in having breathing room than looking successful.

👉Less debt.
👉A little more saved.
👉Time with family.
👉And fewer financial worries keeping me awake.

There’s a saying: “I look broke, but I’m not. You look rich, but you’re not.”

But with humility, I’d change the second half:

“You look rich—but I don’t know your story.”

Your nice car might be comfortably paid for. Your beautiful home might be well within your means. If so, enjoy them. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying what you’ve worked for.

And someone living simply might still be struggling. They deserve kindness, too.

We can’t measure someone’s financial wellbeing from a car park, an outfit or a Facebook and instagram photo.

For me, Living Without means letting go of the pressure to keep up. Choosing enough. Quietly building a life I can afford and enjoy.

I’m happy to look ordinary if it gives me the freedom to live on my own terms.✌️

A simple lunch. Plenty to be grateful for.

The older I get, the more I appreciate moments like this—sharing a meal, slowing down, and enjoying what we already have.

Sometimes, having enough and knowing it is its own kind of wealth.

What simple moment are you grateful for today?

Simplicity Saturday finds us outside Vinnies, happy with a discounted find.👇

An ordinary moment, but one that reflects how we choose to live.

There’s dignity in living within your means. And there’s quiet confidence in choosing something useful without worrying about whether it will impress anyone.

We don’t need everything in our lives to be brand new to appreciate what we have.

👉Pre-loved can still be useful.
👉Affordable can still be beautiful.
👉And a simple purchase can bring plenty of joy.

For us, frugality means being thoughtful with money while still enjoying life. We’re happy to spend on things that matter to us—and equally happy to find something we need at Vinnies for a fraction of the price.

Of course, a discount alone doesn’t make something a good buy.

Will we use it? Do we need it? Would we still want it without the sale tag?

Sometimes we find a bargain. Sometimes we leave empty-handed. Both can be good outcomes.

And that brings me to a question:

👉Would you feel wealthier with a higher salary—or fewer financial commitments?

A higher salary can certainly help. But if every pay rise comes with another repayment, another upgrade or another ongoing expense, we can earn more and still feel stretched.

Fewer commitments can give us something we feel every payday: breathing room.

👉The freedom to save a little more.
👉To handle an unexpected bill.
👉To take time off.
👉To make a decision without every dollar already being spoken for.

We can work towards a better income while also learning to be content with enough. We don’t have to upgrade our lifestyle every time our earnings grow.

Perhaps part of feeling wealthy is having less income already committed before it even arrives.

One discounted purchase won’t create financial freedom. But the habit behind it—buying thoughtfully, using what we have and needing less—can help us build it over time.

That’s our New Australian Dream.

A peaceful home. Fewer repayments. Time together. And the freedom to enjoy an ordinary Saturday without needing to prove anything.

Today, that looked like a little shopping at Vinnies—and being perfectly content with it.

What would make you feel wealthier right now: earning more or owing less?

Candlelight, beautiful music, and a quiet night together. 🕯️🎶

Sometimes, happiness is simply slowing down and enjoying what’s right in front of us.

Less rush. More moments like this.

Week 42 of From Zero Together and I bought 15 more units of NDQ 📈

NDQ is an ETF that gives you exposure to 100 of the largest non-financial companies on the Nasdaq. Think Apple, Amazon and Google.

✅ Management fees and costs: 0.48% p.a. (about $48 per $10,000 invested, other costs may apply)
✅ 10 years to September 2026: 21.57% p.a. after fund costs, distributions reinvested

Impressive? Yes. Guaranteed to repeat? Absolutely not. It’s tech heavy and its value can fall sharply.

For me the goal is simple. Less to impress. More to invest. More freedom.

Are you building from zero too? Tell me in the comments 👇 Romulae Jr R Gadaoni RomzGad - Romulae Jr Gadaoni

“ONE MORE YEAR… then I’ll retire.”👇

Another year to grow your super.
Another year to build a bigger buffer.
Another year to feel ready.

But the finish line keeps moving.

Because every time you reach “enough”, you convince yourself you need a little more.

Meanwhile, there’s another balance to consider.

👉Your time.
👉Your health.
👉Your energy.
👉The years you can enjoy with the people you love.

Your savings may be growing. But what are you spending to grow them?🤔

An extra year of work can be a sensible choice. Especially when it pays the bills and gives you security.

The trap is continuing out of habit or fear, without ever asking what “enough” looks like.

A bigger retirement balance means something. So does having the energy to travel, take long walks, play with your grandchildren, or enjoy an ordinary Tuesday together.

The less-is-more approach starts with a different question:

👉”How much do I need for a life I’m happy living?”

A comfortable home. Simple pleasures. Fewer bills. Time for the people who matter.

Make a plan. Know your numbers.

Give “ENOUGH” a finish line.

Because “one more year” costs a year.

Make sure what you gain is worth what you give.

NAB plans to cut up to 2,500 roles, including up to 1,500 before the end of 2026. Behind every number is a person, a family and bills to pay.

Is AI replacing people? NAB says these cuts are driven by restructuring rather than AI. But the question remains: Are we ready if our income suddenly stops?

For years, the Australian Dream encouraged us to buy bigger and borrow more.

But a lifestyle that needs every dollar of our salary leaves little room for change.

This is why I believe in the New Australian Dream:

👉Less debt. More savings.
👉Simple living. More breathing room.
👉Skills that help us adapt.

Keep the paid-off car. Resist unnecessary upgrades. Build a financial buffer while you can.

Redundancy is never a personal failure. Even careful households can struggle. But fewer financial commitments can give us time to breathe, retrain and choose our next step.

Living Without means needing less—so we have more freedom when life changes.❤️✌️
