Important Info: the ATO stops accepting credit card payments from 30 November 2026.

If your ATO payment plan comes out of a credit card, it will default after that date. Switch it to a bank account before then to keep your plan on track.

Sound familiar? Receipts stuffed in the glove box, a spreadsheet that only makes sense to you, and no real idea of your cash flow until BAS time rolls around.

That's a big part of why every Citrine client runs on Xero. Your numbers are up to date, you can check them from your phone, and we're looking at exactly what you're looking at. As a Xero Gold Partner, we also make sure it's set up properly from the start, so it actually makes life easier.

We've put the full story on the blog. Have a read, and if any of those searches feel a little too close to home, we'd love to chat.

Someone will always tell you to "just set up a trust". Usually before they know anything about your actual situation.

Sometimes it's the right call. Sometimes it's an extra entity you pay to administer every year, for protection you never needed.

A trust is a structure, not a strategy. It only does something for you if it matches what you're actually trying to protect.

New on the blog: when a trust earns its keep, and when it's just admin. 🔗 in bio.

Ever opened Xero, looked at your numbers, and just felt like something's off? You can't quite explain it, but you don't fully trust what you're seeing.

That's not a "you're bad with numbers" problem. It's almost always a setup problem.

Most Xero frustration comes down to how it was set up in the first place, rushed, left on default settings, done once and never looked at again.

In our latest blog we break down what proper setup actually looks like. Getting your chart of accounts to reflect your business instead of a generic template. Bank feeds that actually get reconciled. The tax codes almost nobody checks.

As Xero Gold Partners, this is what we do, day in day out. If Xero's never quite felt right for your business, get in touch and we'll sort it properly.

If you operate through a family trust, this is your reminder not to leave distribution resolutions until the last minute. 👀

Trust distribution decisions generally need to be made by the 30th of June, and rushing the process can create unnecessary pressure right at EOFY.

This is one of those areas where timing, structure, and documentation all matter.

We often see business owners focus so heavily on day-to-day operations that EOFY planning gets pushed aside until it suddenly becomes urgent.

A little preparation now can make the entire process much smoother.

📄 Clear resolutions
📊 Better visibility
📅 More time to plan properly

The earlier these conversations happen, the more flexibility you usually have around your overall tax position.

If trust distributions are part of your EOFY planning this year, now’s a great time to get things organised! 🤝

EOFY is coming in fast...but even 10 minutes can make a difference! 💡

A quick check of your records, expenses, and setup can help you avoid missing deductions and unnecessary stress later.

It’s often the small things that add up:
keeping receipts organised, reviewing spending, and making sure everything is in the right place.

Mixing personal and business? That’s where things usually get messy at tax time.

And don’t forget your super and key deadlines; that’s where penalties can sneak in if you’re not careful.

📊 Keep things organised
📅 Stay ahead of deadlines
📉 Cut what you don’t need

The more consistent you are now, the smoother EOFY becomes.

If you want to maximise your outcome and feel confident heading into tax time, our team is here to help. 🤝

This is one of the busiest stretches of EOFY...and a few key deadlines are lining up! 👀

Your May IAS is due on June 21st, followed by:
– FBT Annual Return on June 25th
– Trust Distribution Resolutions by June 30th

Each one plays a role in your overall tax position, and missing details here can have flow-on effects.

FBT needs accurate review of benefits. Trust distributions need clear, timely decisions. IAS needs to be lodged properly and on time.

📄 Compliance handled
📊 Decisions made early
📅 No last-minute pressure

This is where having the right support really matters.

We’re proud to be partnering with Something Tech 2026! 🌍🤝

It’s a two-day event bringing together founders, operators, and forward-thinkers who are actively building what’s next.

This year’s theme, Shaping the Paradox Era, is one we resonate with, especially in business.

Because today, it’s not just about growth. It’s about balancing speed with clarity, automation with intention, and innovation with real-world impact.

As advisors, we see this every day. Businesses are navigating complexity, making decisions faster, and trying to stay grounded while scaling.

Events like this create space for those conversations to happen properly.

🎤 Panels, tech talks, networking, and hands-on experiences
📍 27–28 August 2026 | Brisbane

If you’re building, leading, or simply curious about where things are heading, this is one worth being in the room for.

June is here… and EOFY is officially around the corner. 👀

This is the time where small actions can make a real difference to your final tax outcome.

The businesses that feel confident at year-end usually aren’t doing more, they’re just more prepared.

That means having your records up to date, understanding your numbers, and knowing where you stand before the 30th of June.

It also means catching opportunities early, not scrambling to find them later.

📊 Clean books
📅 Clear position
📈 Better decisions

EOFY doesn’t need to feel rushed or reactive; with the right approach, it can actually feel controlled.

If you’d like support getting everything in order before the deadline hits, we’re here to help. 🤝
