⭐️ Lisa Reid & Andrea Hammond ⭐️

I feel anything I write here will only undersell these 2. Their importance to the smooth running of our business, intimate knowledge of procedures, ability to problem solve and their willingness to be flexible with their roles and responsibilities time and time again has allowed the business to become what it is.
We'd be lost without them, and at this stage I think Lisa owns her corner of the office as occupation is 9/10 of the law.

Lisa

Lisa has been with the admin team since January 2010 (yes that's right), after previous employment with Esso, offshore contractors and Murray Goulburn.
Her role has changed with the business and staffing balance over the years. Including receptionist, lodgement manager, Westpac teller, debtors management, corporate services agent and the never ending random tasks thrown her way.
As you may be able to tell from that list, Lisa is our highly skilled Senior Administrator.
Lisa was born in Maffra and has continued to enjoy the small town community raising her 4 children here. Lisa lives in Maffra with her daughters.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her family including her 4 grandchildren, walks, reading and listening to music.

Andrea

Andrea commenced as our receptionist in 2021 and built her knowledge of the business over the next twelve months.
After proving herself to be highly capable and keen to take on more responsibility, some staffing changes opened the door for her to try her hand in the office administration role that morphed into learning Practice Manager tasks to ease the load on Brooke, Gerald & David.
After a steep 3.5yr learning curve in the administration and practice tasks she is now our Practice Manager.
Andrea is also part of our accounting team while undertaking her Diploma and working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Andrea is a familiar face at the Maffra Football Netball Club (where most people know her as ‘Bevo’) serving in numerous roles, including Ladies Committee treasurer for numerous years, netball Team Manager and Social Committee member.
Andrea enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time with her kids.

⭐️ Mitchell Mahoney & Narelle Petterson ⭐️

Next up is our version of Lebron & Bronny, Narelle & Mitch.
Some admin role reshuffling opened up the reception position again in 2022. Which we found Narelle, funnily enough it was just after Mitch begun his studies and traineeship in December 2021. Both have become very reliable team members always happy to help out with any task thrown their way.

Mitchell

After doing work experience with us in year 10, Mitch started with us on a casual basis whilst still at school completing year 12.
Since finishing year 12 in 2021 , Mitch has worked 3 days a week and is studying a Bachelor of Accounting with La Trobe University.
Mitch is Two and a half years into his studies and is progressing well, with good results.
Mitch enjoys reading, listening to music and stand-up paddle boarding.
Mitch lives in Maffra.

Narelle

Narelle is our receptionist two days a week (Thursday & Friday) and has spent the last 2 1/2 years building out her knowledge of the industry and our processes.
Narelle’s prior wealth of administrative experience has come from various industries such as hospitals, schools, retail, veterinarian & dental practices.
Narelle enjoys reading, travel and spending time with her family.
Narelle and her family live in Maffra.

⭐️ Daniel Polglase & Rosel ⭐️

When experienced accountant Jane Gallatly decided to retire after 15yrs with us in May 2022 we came across these 2 fantastic people. A chance encounter with Daniel's partner in a hospital and Rosel's application left us with one choice, employ both!
New to public accounting but both degree qualified they've been keen to take on any task thrown their way whilst sharpening their skills and knowledge.

Daniel Polglase

Daniel has degrees in accounting from Swinburne Online, and computer science from Newcastle University, and came to us with a background in commercial accounting.
Daniel has been working in the income tax and GST areas over the 2 years and is building his knowledge in these areas.
Daniel has a young family and lives in Maffra.

Rosel

Rosel came to us with a background in commerce overseas and some experience in income tax return preparation.
Rosel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Baguio (Philippines).
Rosel has been working in the income tax and GST areas over the past 2 years and is building her knowledge in these areas.
Rosel has a young family and lives in Maffra.

⭐️ Donna Roberts & Karen Gotts ⭐️

On the back of some administration staffing changes and increased requests for bookkeeping & payroll services we were lucky to uncover these two when we did. Both bring experience in their fields, ready to hit the ground running and take on new tasks in stride which has benefited the whole team.

Donna Roberts (pictured)

We welcomed Donna to the team in January this year and she has proven herself to be a very valuable asset to our bookkeeping team. Having successfully completed the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Donna is now currently undertaking a Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping with Swinburne University.
Donna brings a wealth of knowledge with her, having worked with local community groups and other local small businesses throughout her career.
Donna and her daughter live in Briagolong.
When not at work Donna enjoys listening to music, reading and spending time with her family.

Karen Gotts

Karen joined the team in March as our receptionist three days a week (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday) and brings with her a wealth of administrative experience, having worked for 30 years in the health administration finance area, and is enjoying learning the accounting industry.
Karen enjoys Horse riding, watching movies and spending time with family.
Karen and her family live in Briagolong.

⭐️ Natalie Allman & Lachie Dowd ⭐️

We're very excited and blessed to have had these two join the Adams Accounting team in April 2024. Not only do they come with combined 13 years experience in public practice but they're locals and good people!

Natalie Allman

Born and raised in Maffra.
Nat has joined us from Gippsland Accounting Solutions.
Nat has an Accounting degree and in 2023 successfully completed the Chartered Accountant program.
Nat and her partner Lachie, are currently travelling Australia working on the road for the next little while but are easily contactable for appointments via phone, email & Teams.
In her spare time Nat enjoys travelling, tennis, being active, and catching up with friends and family.

Born and raised in Sale.
Lachie has joined us from Gippsland Accounting Solutions.
Lachie is currently undertaking his studies in Accounting and continuing to further his technical knowledge.
Lachie and his partner Nat, are currently travelling Australia working on the road for the next little while but are easily contactable for appointments via phone, email & Teams.
In his spare time Lachie enjoys supporting his beloved Western Bulldogs, playing cricket, golfing, travelling, catching up with his mates & family as much as possible and the occasional game of tennis.

HAPPY 1 JULY!!!

With a new tax season rolling around we thought we better get some exciting staff announcements and changes that have occurred since the last update many years ago.
