Taits is one of Mackay's largest and most respected Chartered Accountancy practices and was established in 1924. We are a five director firm with over 35 staff. We provide our client base with a complete range of professional business services.

Please note: This is an in-office role based in Mackay, QLD. Only experienced candidates with accounting firm or corporate experience will be considered.

About you:
CPA / CA qualifications*
Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Business or similar
Minimum two years experience in a public practice firm with exposure to all types of entities including Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Self Managed Super Funds
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Office suite
Experience with Intuit, MYOB, Reckon and Xero for Client Accounting

About the role:
Ongoing Management of a Portfolio of Clients under the guidance of a Director
Preparation of compliance for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships, Trusts and Self Managed Super Funds
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required
full-time or part-time basis (flexible working options including school hours available)

We’re looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join our team full-time.

What we’re looking for:
✔ Previous administration experience in an office environment
✔ Strong communication skills and computer literacy
✔ Ability to work unsupervised, show initiative, and manage priorities

About the role:
You’ll provide high-level administrative and secretarial support, manage correspondence and compliance information for clients, handle data entry and scheduling, and keep things running smoothly for the directors and wider team.
