Intermediate or Senior Accountant Position
We are a modern CPA Public Accounting Practice looking for accountants who are experienced Tax Accountant/Managers who wish to make a career in public practice who are organized, confident, technically up-to-date & proactive to join our team in Liverpool, in Sydney’s Western Suburbs.
You will be responsible for working closely with our partners with a range of high net worth family groups, small-medium size business entities and SMSFs.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Preparation of Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns with MYOB AE with a very strong focus on Accounting skills
Must be able to use MYOB. Xero, Intuit and Reckon Cloud based retail Accounting products at a high level
Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office Programs
Tax compliance for all entities including Trusts, Companies, SMSF and partnerships at a high level
FBT, BAS and IAS preparation
Preparing strategic advice for client meetings
Developing relationships with existing and new clients to understand what we can help them with
Identifying, researching and solving complex tax issues & being able to communicate that advice to partners/clients
Identifying potential opportunities for both new and existing clients
Identifying and implementing new technologies that can streamline workflow and improve our client’s businesses
Tax planning ability for High Net Worth Clients
Experience in all aspects of SMSF Accounting, Administration and Tax preparation & audit in BGL Cloud based Software
Be able to liaise with External Auditors in relation to SMSF Audit requirements
Able to provide SMSF strategies to assist financial planners in preparing a formal advice document
Skills and experience
MUST have had at least 3 years’ experience in a CPA or CA Accounting & Taxation Practice,
Must Be University qualified and must be professionally qualified as a CPA or CA
Be passionate about helping people
Be able to manage & prioritize your clients work using MYOB AE Job Manager
Be able to recognize when to delegate tasks to junior staff
Being proficient in providing instruction, guidance & reviewing the work of your Team Members
Be able to articulate tax matters in simple, easy to understand way and have an easy going communication style
Not need someone to manage your workload & comply with Workflow practices within the Firm
