As we come to the end of a big year, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our clients for your incredible support throughout 2025. Your trust means so much, and we couldn’t do what we do without you.

We’ll be taking an extended break to rest and recharge, with our office closing from Friday 19th December and reopening on Monday 12th January. Emails will still be monitored periodically during this time.

📈 Noticing Extra Money in Your Pay? It Could Be the Stage 3 Tax Cuts! 🎉

The Stage 3 Tax Cuts came into effect on 1st July 2024. These cuts are part of a major tax reform aimed at simplifying the tax system and reducing tax rates.

What's Changed?

- Reduced 32.5% Bracket to 30%: For all earnings between $45,001 to $135,000.
- Higher Threshold for 37% Bracket: Increased from $120,001 to $135,001.
- Higher Threshold for 45% Bracket: Increased from $180,001 to $190,001.

Although the originally proposed Stage 3 Tax Cuts, which were significantly higher, did not pass, this is still a win for all taxpayers. 🌟

Note: Super Guarantee Contributions also increased from 11% to 11.5% on 1st July 2024.

📣 Please note! To claim a deduction on superannuation accruals in this current financial year, final processing date via SuperStream is 2:00pm AEST on 18th June 2024!

Everything works a little slower this time of year at the ATO due to updates to prepare for the upcoming financial year.

NB: actual due date for this current quarter is 28th July 2024 (allow 7 days to process)

Just a heads up that we'll be taking a much-needed break from May 24th to June 2nd to recharge. During this time, our office will be closed, but don't worry - while our phones won't be monitored as we'll be overseas, we'll still be keeping an eye on our emails. 📧

Before we go, final due dates for this financial year are as follows:

- Tax Returns: Due by May 15th.
- BAS (Business Activity Statements): Due by May 28th.

If you have not yet provided our office with your information, please send ASAP, and we will do our absolute best to accommodate these lodgement dates.

Do you have a new employee that hasn't provided their superannuation information?

Please refer to the ATO link for information on how to access your employee's superannuation information to ensure you meet your superannuation obligations by the due date and avoid any applicable penalties.

NB: Q2 super payment is due by 28th January!
