🏠 Could selling your home help you grow your retirement savings?

If you’re aged 55 or over, the downsizer contribution rules may allow you to contribute up to $300,000 from the sale of an eligible home into superannuation—with couples potentially able to contribute up to $600,000 combined.

It can be a valuable opportunity, but eligibility requirements, contribution limits and timing rules apply.

Our latest article explains how downsizer contributions work and what you should consider before deciding whether this strategy is right for you.

đź’ł How much are your forgotten subscriptions really costing you?

Streaming services, apps, software, cloud storage and memberships can seem like small monthly expenses — but when you add them all together, the cost can be surprising.

A $15 monthly subscription is $180 a year. Have five subscriptions you barely use and suddenly you could be spending close to $1,000 each year.

And it’s not just households. For businesses, unused software licences, duplicated services and forgotten subscriptions can quietly add thousands of dollars to annual expenses.

A simple subscription audit could be one of the easiest ways to improve your cash flow and redirect money towards the things that matter.

Our latest article looks at the hidden cost of forgotten subscriptions and some simple steps to take back control of those recurring expenses.

💡 Medicare Levy vs Medicare Levy Surcharge – do you know the difference?

They sound similar, but they’re not the same thing — and understanding the difference can help you make better sense of your tax obligations.

While the Medicare Levy helps fund Australia’s public healthcare system, the Medicare Levy Surcharge is an additional tax that may apply to higher-income earners who don’t have an appropriate level of private hospital cover.

So, who pays what? And could the surcharge apply to you?

Our latest article breaks down the differences and explains what you need to know.
