There have been several important updates to Australia’s superannuation (pension) system that could impact your retirement strategy. Here’s a simple breakdown:

✅ 1. Super Guarantee at 12%
From 1 July 2025, employers must contribute 12% of your salary into super. This is the final step in a long-term increase designed to boost retirement savings.

✅ 2. More can move into tax-free retirement phase
The Transfer Balance Cap has increased to $2.1 million, meaning eligible Australians can move more of their super into a tax-free pension account.

✅ 3. Super now paid on Paid Parental Leave
