🚨 Big Tax Changes Are Coming! 🚨

The 2026 Federal Budget introduces some of the biggest proposed tax reforms in over 25 years, with changes that could affect individuals, small businesses, property investors and family trusts.

Some of the highlights include:
✅ The $20,000 Instant Asset Write-Off becoming permanent for eligible small businesses.
✅ New tax offsets and simplified deductions for employees.
⚠️ Proposed changes to family trusts, Capital Gains Tax and negative gearing.
⚠️ Increased ATO compliance and audit activity.

While many of these measures are proposed to commence from 2027 and 2028, now is the time to understand how they may impact your future tax planning.

📢 AML/CTF Regulations Are Coming, Here's What It Means for You

From 1 July 2026, new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) regulations have come into effect across Australia.

As part of these changes, Naked Accounting is required to comply with new obligations when providing certain accounting and advisory services.

What does this mean for you?

You may be asked to:
✔️ Verify your identity.
✔️ Provide additional information about yourself or your business.
✔️ Confirm your business ownership or control structure.
✔️ Complete additional documentation before we can provide certain services.
✔️ Periodically update your information to ensure it remains current.

These requirements are now part of Australian legislation and are designed to help prevent money laundering, terrorism financing and other financial crime.

While you may notice a few additional steps during our onboarding and ongoing client review processes, our commitment to providing proactive advice and exceptional service remains exactly the same. Our team will guide you through the process and make it as simple and seamless as possible.
