A frog placed in lukewarm water that is slowly heated to a boil.
The frog fails to notice the gradual danger, stays in the pot, and dies, serving as a warning about ignoring slow, creeping threats.
With yesterday's National Press Club speech from Assistant Treasurer Daniel Mulino, it is very clear that SMSFs are the frog.
At first glance, the announced changes impacting SMSFs appear 'reasonable' and 'proportional' and for 'consumer protection'.
But, in my opinion, it is a series of steps on a slippery slope of Government interference in OUR super money and restricting choice and control.
