After this date, SBSCH access will no longer be available. That means no ability to retrieve:
- Contribution payment history
- Employee and fund reports
- Evidence of super payments for audit or dispute purposes

These records may still be required for compliance, reconciliations and future reviews.

For certain services, we’ll be legally required to complete additional checks before we can proceed. This may include verifying identity, understanding ownership structures, or requesting supporting information. These checks will only apply where the law requires them and are based on the specific services being provided.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲?
The government is expanding Australia’s AML/CTF framework to include professional services such as accounting. The aim is to reduce financial crime and bring Australia into line with international standards.

• Keeping the process as simple and streamlined as possible
• Only asking for information when required
• Protecting your data and handling it securely
• Minimising disruption to your day‑to‑day dealings with us

We’re already updating our systems and processes ahead of the 1 July start date, so we’re ready when these changes come into effect.

If we do need extra information from you in the future, we’ll explain what’s required and why. As always, our priority is supporting you while meeting our legal obligations.

🎓 Big congratulations to Elvina from our Audit team on officially graduating as a Chartered Accountant.

Elvina joined Davidsons in 2020 after beginning her audit career in Mauritius, and has since built an impressive career here in Australia - now bringing more than 10 years of audit experience to the team.

And clearly, she likes it here. Her brother has since made the move from Mauritius to Australia too, joining Elvina in our Audit team - so we’ll take that as a pretty glowing internal review.

Completing her CA while working full-time is already a serious achievement. Doing it while relocating countries, continuing to grow her career, and getting married along the way? That deserves an extra round of applause.

Since joining Davidsons, Elvina has become an integral part of our Audit team. She was promoted to Senior Auditor in July 2025 and has developed a strong focus in the not-for-profit sector, where she does what great auditors do best: balances the compliance piece with practical insights that help clients get real value from the process.

She’s highly organised, deeply committed, and brings a work ethic that sets the standard. But just as importantly, Elvina helps shape the culture of our team. She supports junior staff, shares her knowledge generously, and is someone people genuinely love working with.

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 - 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁! Rebates are often tricky to qualify for, but this one could easily add a little fat to most people's piggy banks 🐷

The VIC Government’s 20% rego rebate is open, with eligible 'personal use light vehicle' owners able to claim up to $186 back per vehicle (up to 2) for registration paid in the 2025–26 financial year.

Applications close 31 July 2026, so it’s worth checking now rather than remembering on 1 August.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟳 💰
The Fair Work Commission has confirmed increases to the National Minimum Wage and modern award rates as part of the 2026 Annual Wage Review.

Modern award minimum wages will increase by 𝟰.𝟳𝟱% from the first full pay period starting on or after **1 July 2026**. The lowest modern award rate will rise to $𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟰.𝟵𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 or $𝟮𝟲.𝟰𝟰 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
This is more than a payroll update. It’s a compliance event with flow-on impacts across employment arrangements.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸:
• Apply new rates from the correct pay cycle, not simply from 1 July
• Confirm employees are correctly graded under the relevant award
• Review enterprise agreements to ensure base rates meet the new minimums
• Re-test salaries and set-off arrangements against updated award entitlements
• Update junior, trainee and entry-level rates
• Factor higher labour costs into FY27 budgets and pricing
• Update contracts and onboarding documents where pay rates are referenced

For many businesses, the first impacted pay run will be in early July, depending on the payroll cycle. Delays can quickly create underpayment exposure.
