The ATO has released the key upcoming deadlines for employers, including STP, super and reporting obligations. These dates roll around quickly, so it’s worth keeping them handy.

Setup for success in 2026. Whether it's STP, PAYG withholding, super guarantee payments or FBT, it’s important for employers to stay on top of their obligations.

Heads up!

From 1 July 2026, how super is paid in Australia is changing.

Instead of paying super quarterly, employers will need to pay super at the same time as wages. It will also need to reach the employers super fund within 7 business days of payday.

A few key things to know:
- Super is no longer due quarterly - it must be paid with each payrun.
- Contributions must reach the super fund within 7 business days of payday.
- This applies whether you pay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

It's a significant shift from the current system and worth thinking about now so you're not caught off guard in July. Employers are being encouraged to review their payroll and super processes well before July 2026.

There's no need to stress! Early planning and tidy systems will make the transition straightforward.
