And as such, I have made it my mission to connect business owners with economic freedom through financial education. Drawing upon over 20 years corporate experience, I have developed financial programs and resources that challenge the stigma attached to the complexity of understanding financial data, to simplify and financially elevate business owners to build the business of their dreams. 🚨 EOFY Confession Time...

Just because something saves tax doesn't automatically make it a good business decision.

Every June, I see business owners rushing to:

✔️ Buy vehicles
✔️ Upgrade equipment
✔️ Load up on inventory
✔️ Sign up for new software

All because someone said: "But you'll get a tax deduction."

Here's the problem...

The tax office doesn't give you all of that money back.

And cashflow doesn't care why you spent it.

In this week's podcast episode, I'm talking about the EOFY decisions that look smart today but can quietly create cashflow pressure a few months later.

Plus, I'm sharing a simple question I think every business owner should ask before spending a dollar this EOFY.

Interesting.
Very interesting. 😅

Running a business, raising kids, managing life — it’s amazing how much we carry by default.

This is your reminder (and mine): rest isn’t laziness.
And sleep deprivation is not a badge of honour.

If you can share the load — at home or in business — do it.

💬 What’s one thing you’re carrying that could actually be shared?

Not all numbers matter equally ... but no one tells you which ones to focus on.

Trying to watch everything leads to overwhelm.

Try this:
➡️ Ask yourself: Which number would help me sleep better at night?
➡️ Start there.

Focus beats volume.

Thinking time.
Main-character energy time. 🎶

In a world full of noise, attention is the real currency.

Whether it’s business or life, who you give your time to says more than any words ever could.

💬 Who gets your “music time” attention — and why?

June asks the big question: Did the first half of the year move your business forward… or just keep you busy?

Halfway through the year is a powerful place to pause — not to judge the past, but to adjust the path forward.

If nothing changed from today, where would your business land by the end of the year?

Back when a trolley didn’t require a budget meeting, a spreadsheet, and a deep breath at the checkout.

Rising costs aren’t just annoying — they affect margins, cash flow, pricing decisions, and how hard small business owners have to work to stay steady.

This isn’t about complaining.
It’s about being realistic.

If your numbers feel tighter than they used to, you’re not imagining it — and you’re not alone.

💬 What’s one cost that’s changed the way you run your business or household?

Groupthink is loud.
Confidence is often mistaken for competence.
And popularity is not the same as being right.

In business, following the crowd can feel safe — until you realise the crowd isn’t accountable for the outcome.

Critical thinking matters.
Independent judgement matters.
Choosing your influences carefully matters.

Just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s smart.

💬 Where have you learned to trust your own thinking instead of the noise?

Because maybe today is the day it magically won’t. (Spoiler: it is not.)

Running a business is basically the same experiment:
• “Maybe this client will be different.”
• “Maybe this boundary won’t be needed.”
• “Maybe this time it won’t cost me energy.”

Experience teaches you patterns.
Wisdom is listening to them.

Growth isn’t never testing things again — it’s knowing when the data is already in.

💬 What’s something you know the outcome of… but still occasionally test anyway?

Pricing decisions made years ago often remain unchanged far longer than they should.

But costs rarely stay the same.

When pricing remains static while costs evolve, margins quietly shift.

When did you last review your pricing structure?
