We were delighted to celebrate an incredible milestone with Cheng marking 20 years with BDO. 🤩

A well-deserved lunch for Cheng was held at Noodle House with nearly the whole office attending which shows the respect that we all have for Cheng.🏆

Over two decades, he has been a truly prized member of our team, demonstrating outstanding commitment, professionalism and loyalty whilst making a lasting contribution to our firm and our culture.🏅

Year of the Snake

Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, is a significant celebration marking the start of the new year. In 2025, Chinese New Year fell on January 29, ushering in the Year of the Snake. 🐍

Chinese New Year is celebrated worldwide, especially in countries with significant Chinese communities. It's a time for cultural traditions, family reunions, and hopes for good fortune in the coming year. 🏮

A big thank you to our partners for organizing a sumptuous morning tea to mark the occasion. A special shoutout to Jolene for generously sharing her decadent treats from a recent holiday in Vietnam! ♨🥟🥠🦐🍊

BDO Darwin also had the privilege of having our office blessed by the Lion 🦁Dancers from the Chung Wah Society as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations. This vibrant ceremony, which many businesses in Darwin take part in, is truly a spectacle to witness, complete with a troupe of lion dancers and the thrilling sound of firecrackers. The blessing is believed to bring good luck to the office, and in return, the firm presents an offering and a "red packet"🧧 (donation) to the Lion as a token of gratitude. 🐲🧨
