2026/2027 $1000 deduction for work related expenses has been drafted.
This legislation will allow you to claim $1000 as a work related tax deduction - reducing your tax payable by your marginal tax rate.
If you choose this deduction you will still be able to claim other non work related deductions such as donations, tax agent fees, investment expenses, income protection and additional super contributions.
If your rate of tax is 32c, you will save $320, you wont receive $1000.
