Scams targeting bank accounts, investments and superannuation are becoming increasingly sophisticated. For financial planning clients, protecting your wealth isn’t just about making good financial decisions, it’s also about protecting your personal and financial information.

Here are five simple ways to stay safer:

• Never share passwords, PINs or financial details.
• Stop & think before responding to unexpected calls, texts or emails.
• Watch for urgency as scammers often pressure you to act quickly.
• Verify the caller by hanging up and contacting your bank or financial adviser using a trusted number.
