🏉 A Legacy of Brotherhood, On and Off the Field 🏉
For the Fowler family, Brothers Rugby League Football Club has been much more than a football club—it has been a part of their lives for over five decades.
The journey began in 1971 when Bob Fowler was appointed player-coach of the Brothers rugby league team. While his coaching role lasted one season, his commitment to the club continued for many years through committee and board positions. As one of the original directors of the Brothers Leagues Club when it was incorporated in 1977, Bob helped shape the club's future and remained a director for seven years.
Bob's passion for developing young players saw him return to coaching junior teams from 1988 to 1991, guiding Under 8s, Under 10s and Under 16s.
Following in his father's footsteps, Paul Fowler began his Brothers journey as an Under 12 player before progressing through both junior and senior rugby league ranks. His contribution to the club has spanned playing, coaching, administration and leadership. Paul served on the Brothers Leagues Club board from 2008 to 2025, joined the football club committee in 2014, and was elected President in 2015, a role he held for four years.
Today, Paul continues to give back to the next generation, coaching junior players and currently leading the Brothers Under 14s team in 2026.
In recognition of their outstanding service, both Bob and Paul have been awarded Life Memberships of Brothers Football Club and Brothers Leagues Club—Bob in 2005 and Paul in 2014.
A remarkable family legacy built on service, leadership, community and a love of the game. 💙💛
