New financial year, new tax rates.
From 1 July 2026, the Australian tax brackets have changed - and this time, it means more money in your pocket. The 16% bracket now applies up to $18,200-$45,000, the 30% rate covers $45,001-$135,000, and the 37% rate kicks in from $135,001-$190,000.
What does this actually mean for you? If you earn $90,000, you could pay around $1,350 less in tax this year compared to last year.
We have broken down every bracket, rate, and threshold in our latest guide - including the Medicare levy changes and HELP repayment updates you need to know about.
