The past two days have been a blur of messages, calls, and voice notes from people checking in after the earthquakes in Venezuela. I’ve read every one, and it has meant more than I can say.

Most importantly, my immediate family, close friends, and their families have all been accounted for. For that, I am incredibly grateful, and deeply aware that not everyone can say the same today.

One of the hardest hit areas in Caracas is where I grew up and went to school. Many of the streets, buildings, and places that shaped my childhood have been forever changed. Seeing those images has been heartbreaking.

Thank you for thinking of us. Thank you for reaching out. And above all, thank you for reminding me that even across continents, we never face life’s hardest moments alone.

My thoughts are with everyone affected, the families who have lost loved ones, those still waiting for news, and the first responders working tirelessly through the devastation.

Own an investment property with a partner? This one’s worth two minutes. 🏡

Properties owned before the May budget keep the old negative gearing and CGT discount rules.

But for jointly owned properties, that protection isn’t guaranteed for life, it can fall away when a co-owner passes away, or a couple separates.

A quick breakdown of what’s grandfathered, what isn’t, and the dates that matter. It’s still before the Senate, so the detail can change.

Know someone who owns a property with a partner?

Send this their way. And if it’s your situation, our DMs are open.

Dancing CEOs 2026!!

No dancing for me this year—just supporting an event that means a lot to me after my participation in 2023.

Massive respect to everyone who stepped onto the dance floor tonight. It takes courage, commitment and a good sense of humour. 👏

Proud to be part of such an incredible community.

Are you actually wealthier than you were five years ago?

If you’re the typical Australian household, probably not.
Since 2019, average household wealth is up 24% in real terms.

The median household — the middle, the typical experience — hasn’t moved at all.

Same country. Same five years. Two completely different stories.

The gap is the difference between average and median. Average gets pulled up when wealth concentrates at the top. Median is the experience most people actually live.

For retirement planning, this matters. If your strategy assumes “the market keeps lifting all boats,” the last five years tell a different story.

Plans beat luck.

If you’re not sure your plan is built for the next decade — not just the last one — let’s have a 15-minute chat. Link in bio.

The Federal Budget confirmed what we’ve been outlining for a while now, with the important details now locked in.

Some of these changes are significant. Here’s what every Australian investor, business owner, and family-trust user needs to know.

Swipe through for the breakdown: → Negative gearing — grandfathering rules clarified → Capital gains tax — the 50% discount is going → Small business — two genuine wins → Family trusts — a major structural change → Personal taxes — two new measures

The two biggest shifts? The new minimum 30% tax on trust distributions, and the move away from the 50% CGT discount toward indexation.

Both will reshape how a lot of Australians invest and structure their wealth.

If you own investment property, run a business, or use a family trust — the time to review your strategy is now, not after the rules change in 2027.

Questions? Drop them below or send us a DM. Always happy to talk it through.
