One thing I've learned from working with women over the years is that no two money stories are ever the same.

Some women started investing in their twenties. Others were focused on raising families, building careers, supporting loved ones, or simply navigating life's unexpected twists and turns.

Wherever you are today, there's no judgement.

Your past financial decisions don't define your future.

What matters is understanding your story, learning from it, and taking the next step forward with confidence.

Because your money story isn't finished yet.

You can earn a good income and still find yourself wondering, where did all my money go?

Budgeting doesn’t have to mean tracking every dollar or cutting out everything you enjoy. Sometimes, it’s simply about taking a closer look at your cash flow and asking whether your money is supporting both the life you enjoy today and the future you’re working towards.

The 50/30/20 approach is a simple starting point, not a rigid rule, that can help you see your spending differently and identify where a few small changes could make a meaningful difference.

Being told your role has been made redundant can be unsettling, particularly when it wasn't part of your plan. 🧡

My first piece of advice is usually:

Don't feel that you have to make every financial decision immediately.

Take some time to understand what you're being offered, what your immediate cash-flow needs look like, and what options you have before deciding what to do with a redundancy payment.

Take small steps and seek the guidance you need to make the most of your situation.

Your 40s and 50s can be some of the busiest years of your life – and some of the most important for your financial future.

You might be earning more and building wealth, but there’s often plenty competing for your attention too. A mortgage, family, career, super… and perhaps the growing realisation that retirement doesn’t feel quite as far away as it once did.

It’s very easy to keep doing what you’ve always done with your money simply because life is busy.

But life changes – and your financial strategy needs to keep up.

So, how do you know when it might be time to take a closer look?

I've shared seven signs that it could be time for a financial check-in.

And if a few of them sound familiar, don't worry about what you haven't done. Start with where you are now and work out what needs your attention next. 💛

It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the news.

Interest rates. Inflation. Share markets. Cost of living...

When the headlines keep changing, it's natural to wonder whether you should be doing something different with your money.

But I've learnt that financial confidence isn't about reacting to every piece of news. It's about understanding what's important to your future and making decisions that align with your goals.

💛 Financial confidence doesn't come from reacting to every headline. It comes from understanding what matters most to your future.

Keep your focus on what you can control, and let your long-term plan do the heavy lifting.

“Have I left it too late to do more with my super?”

It’s a question I hear from women surprisingly often.

If you’re in your 50s or 60s and retirement is starting to feel much more real, there may still be opportunities to strengthen your super and make a meaningful difference to your future.

The options available can change as you get older, which is why knowing what you can do and when really matters.

Take a look at the graphic as a starting point. 💛

And remember, it’s not about what you could have done ten years ago. It’s about making the most of the opportunities you have now.

Retirement planning isn't about reaching someone else's magic number, it's about creating the freedom to live life on your terms.

The first step is understanding what you want your retirement to look like. Once you have a clear vision, it's much easier to build a savings plan that supports your lifestyle, identify opportunities to grow your wealth, and make informed financial decisions along the way.

Your retirement should be designed around your goals, not someone else's benchmark.

If you're ready to create a retirement plan that's built around the life you want, I'd love to help.

It's so easy to look back and think...

💭 "I wish I'd started sooner."
💭 "I wish I'd known this years ago."
💭 "If only I'd made different choices."

But dwelling on missed opportunities won't change your future.

What will make a difference is the decision you make today.

No matter where you're starting from, there are always opportunities to move forward. One conversation. One small change. One step at a time.

💛 Don't get caught up in regretting missed opportunities. Focus on what you can do now to create a better outcome.
