Public Service Announcement!

The Cooke & Foley team have recently had a number of company owners query documentation that has been received with regard to company annual registrations. In the example included (specific company information redacted), a third party 'Registration' has been downloading public records and then sending notices to company owners requesting payment for company annual reviews. This example was received by one of our clients. Please be vigilant, as company annual review payment information and requests should only come from ASIC and be sent via our office. If you receive any company annual review documentation that seem odd or unusual, please contact our office immediately and be sure not to pay without checking first.

Chris is a great success story having started as a graduate and has progressed into a qualified Certified Practicing Accountant. Just a reminder to record your odometer reading for all employer-provided motor vehicles for Fringe benefits Tax (FBT) as at midnight, Tuesday 31st March 2026. Without a closing odometer reading, the ATO may default to a calculation method that costs your business more in tax.
