The Altitude team is heartbroken by the passing of our colleague and friend, Tom, who sadly lost his battle with cancer at just 24 years of age.
Tom was the much-loved son of our Director, Kristen, an advisor and accountant to many of our clients and a valued part of the wider Hub39 family.
Tom had a remarkable way of connecting with people. While he was incredibly dedicated to his work, it was the relationships he built that set him apart. He took a genuine interest in his clients' lives, cared deeply about their success, and was always willing to go the extra mile to help. His kindness, warmth and authenticity made people feel valued, and many of his clients came to know him not just as their accountant, but as someone they trusted and genuinely enjoyed working with.
The respect and affection his clients held for him speaks volumes about the person he was. Tom brought empathy, humour and heart to everything he did, and he left a lasting impression on so many people in such a short time.
His courage, positivity and strength throughout his illness inspired all who knew him, and he will be remembered with great fondness by colleagues, clients and friends alike.
Our love and deepest sympathy are with Kristen, Mark, Rylie, Lara and the entire Buik family at this incredibly difficult time.
Tom will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
