✔️ 7th of every month | PAYE
Submit and pay your EMP201 return, covering your monthly employer declarations for PAYE, UIF and SDL.

✔️ Last business day of every second month | VAT
Submit and pay your VAT201 return if you’re a VAT vendor on Category A or B, depending on your allocated tax period.

💡 Important: Manual VAT submissions are generally due earlier, while eFiling allows submission up to the final business day.

✔️ Every 6 months | Provisional Tax
Companies are required to submit provisional tax payments every six months.

Are You Claiming All the Tax Deductions You’re Entitled To?

When completing your tax return, it’s easy to overlook expenses that may qualify for a deduction.

Some commonly missed deductions include:

Qualifying out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by your medical aid.

Retirement annuity contributions — subject to the applicable SARS limits. For the 2026/27 tax year, the deduction limit is 27.5% of qualifying remuneration or taxable income, subject to an annual cap of R430,000.

Donations to approved organisations — where the relevant requirements and supporting certificate are met.

Remember: A deduction isn't automatically available simply because you've incurred an expense. SARS requirements and supporting documentation apply.
