🚨 2025 IRS Standard Deduction Update! 🚨

The IRS has increased the standard deduction for tax year 2025, meaning more of your income will be shielded from taxes! But remember—this applies to taxable income, not your total (gross) income.

Here’s the updated deduction amounts:
âś… Single: $14,600 (was $13,850)
âś… Married Filing Jointly / Qualifying Surviving Spouse: $29,200 (was $27,700)
âś… Head of Household: $21,900 (was $20,800)

This deduction reduces the income you pay taxes on, which can lower your overall tax bill. Plan ahead by focusing on taxable income after deductions!

Can I claim a child born in a foreign country on my U.S. tax return?

Children usually are citizens or residents of the country of their parents. If a taxpayer was a U.S. citizen when his/her child was born, the child may be a U.S. citizen for tax purposes even if the other parent was a nonresident alien and the child was born in a foreign country. This would satisfy the citizenship test for claiming a dependency exemption.

Here is the Deal, there is a clear difference between Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance; one is Legal and the other is not. Tax Evasion is reducing or avoiding taxes through illegal means while Tax Avoidance reduces liabilities within the framework of the tax laws.

The truth is that Tax-payers have the right to pay the “lowest legitimate tax”, and tax professionals have the responsibility to see that this right is protected.

Is your tax professional protecting your rights?
