September is here, which means summer is winding down and the third quarter of 2026 is coming to a close. Now is a good time to review where things stand before the final months of the year.

For business owners, this means making sure your bookkeeping is current and accurate, reviewing your year-to-date income and expenses, and identifying any issues that should be addressed before year-end. Waiting until tax season can leave fewer options and create unnecessary surprises.

For individual taxpayers, now is also a good time to review your federal and state tax withholding—especially if your income or household circumstances have changed—and update your Form W-4 if necessary. If your income status has changed over the course of the year you might need to make an estimated tax payment. You may also want to check your year-to-date retirement contributions and decide whether any adjustments make sense for the fourth quarter.

Hi! I’m Drew, the owner of Null Bookkeeping & Tax.

I realized that while I’ve shared tax tips and business updates here, I’ve never properly introduced myself.

I’ve been working in accounting and tax for more than 10 years and have been an IRS Enrolled Agent for nearly 6 years. I’m based in Quakertown and enjoy working with individuals and small businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities.

Outside of my work, I’m proud to serve as Treasurer on my church council, where I help oversee the church’s finances and support its mission. Giving back to my community is something that’s important to me.

When I started Null Bookkeeping & Tax, my goal was simple: to provide honest, reliable tax and bookkeeping services while making the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible. I believe accounting shouldn’t feel intimidating, and I want my clients to feel comfortable asking questions and confident in the guidance they receive.
