About Me:
I started my accounting career working with a public CPA firm in 2005. After graduating college with a BS in Business Administration in Accounting in 2007, I was offered a position at a private farm management company where I worked for a year and a half. I then spent the next twelve years working with a governmental education agency. Having worked in multiple levels of business administ

ration from public accounting to a for-profit business to government, I have gained a unique skill set that will enable me to provide a service not found in many other firms. Throughout my career I have maintained my part-time business as being self-employed providing tax and accounting services to friends and family, including assisting a local charter school with their business administration and accounting. My favorite part about what I do is being able to help others and seeing my clients succeed. Accounting truly is where my passion is. I have a strong work ethic, am a quick learner, and am very organized. I have always taken great pride in my work and will continue to do so for your company. My experiences have laid the foundation to enable me to be an asset to your business.

IRS tweets apology for erroneous CP14s (06-08-23)

In tweets released late yesterday, the IRS stated that California taxpayers who qualify for the disaster-related October 16 postponements (August 15 for Modoc and Shasta counties) still have until the October 16/August 15 postponement deadline to pay their 2022 tax liabilities. The IRS stated that taxpayers receiving erroneous CP14 letters do not need to call the IRS or their tax professionals.

The IRS acknowledged that the CP14s are automatically generated when taxpayers have a balance due, but that taxpayers eligible for the disaster postponements do not have any balances currently due. From the IRS’s tweets: “The IRS apologizes to taxpayers and tax professionals for any confusion as we continue to review the situation.”

In case you have not heard yet, most of California has been approved for an automatic extension to file and pay income taxes for 2022 to October 16, 2023!

CA-2023-03, March 17, 2023 — Victims of severe winter storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides in California beginning March 9, 2023, now have until Oct. 16, 2023, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments, the Internal Revenue Service announced today.
