A pleasure to meet you through this oblique medium, my name is Kevin Clancy. My accounting career, after graduating from Cal Poly SLO with a Major in Econ and Minor in Marketing, began in the cubicles of a few reputed CPA firms. First was Comyns Smith McCleary
& Deaver LLP, a small boutique firm catering to high wealth individuals in and their businesses in the Bay Area... followed by a stint at Armanino LLP whom has become a major player in the industry of late. I spent a majority of my time in the Tax department which became an opportunity to examine and learn about a vast array of company structures, procedures, and potential issues across many industries. Eight years ago I decided to go into business for myself as I found I was more interested in helping people run their companies than filing their tax returns for them, initially as a freelance consultant and then later as Clancy Consulting LLC. In that timespan I worked with companies of all different sizes, shapes, and industries. From helping mom & pop companies with basic bookkeeping needs, to being the Finance Manager for a biotech firm with $25M+ in revenue a year.
