Optimized CFO & Controller Services is pleased to announce its recognition by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce as a finalist for the Small Business of the Year award.
Optimized CFO (OCFO) is one of five Columbia businesses to be showcased for Small Business Week 2026. Chamber membership nominates exceptional small businesses who represent the spirit of the business community through their innovation, community involvement and financial success. The 2026 Small Business of the Year winner will be announced at the Chamber’s awards ceremony on Thursday, May 7.
The OCFO team believes that when organizations have clarity in their finances, the people and communities behind them are stronger for it. Serving Missouri-based businesses and nonprofits through outsourced accounting, Controller and CFO services, Optimized CFO delivers tailored financial solutions through a fractional model. This “fractional advantage” gives organizations access to high-level expertise without the full-time price tag of executive level salaries. Guided by their core values of clarity, camaraderie, and continuous improvement, OCFO partners with each client, scaling to fit their respective stage of growth, to move each business forward.
The female-owned firm has experienced significant growth in recent years, prompting a recent office relocation to 2001 Corona Road in the Village of Cherry Hill.
“We are passionate about partnering with clients to optimize their operations, so it’s especially meaningful to be recognized by the Chamber as a finalist for this award. Our nomination is testimony that the work we do each day is impacting local organizations and the mid-Missouri business landscape in a significant way,” said Rebecca Knipp, founder and owner of OCFO.
Founded in 2019, Optimized CFO serves clients as a trusted financial advisor. The company provides controller services, accounting system process improvements and CFO services, with a focus on providing customized financial expertise to small businesses without an internal financial services department or those in need of short-term assistance.
