Tax Tip for 2026!!!
let me explain the CHILD TAX CREDIT

-The Child Tax Credit (CTC) did go from 2,000 to 2,200 but that amount no one will be refunded this is used to reduce your tax bill. To reduce the amount of federal income tax you owe (your tax liability).
-The Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) is what you are elgible to get refunded.

-So for 2025 tax return you can get up to 1700 refunded to you for each child not 2,200!

-The 2,200 is a non refundable credit that is only used to reduce any taxes you owe not to be given to you as part of your refund ! Umeka Lash
