You, as a taxpayer, do not have to use TurboTax. You can file directly on the IRS.gov website yourself.

Using TurboTax is not filing your taxes yourself, you're using TT. Nothing is actually free. You are the product.

It is very close to a scam. They spend huge amounts on lobbying each year. They've been fined by the FTC multiple times. Every year. They are dishonest and take advantage of people.

We also offer completely virtual services. So do many other private accounting firms. We're authorized e-file providers. We file directly with the IRS using our own software. Check out our website.
