Wow, just wow - yesterday was my first time visiting the Decorator Showcase and I have to say- it was Spectacular! thank you Compass for organizing this amazing event and having us have that much fun! From the front door the capturing colors and one of one furniture kept me excited to the very end. The vibes were great and the champaign bubbly. The story or the designers was very entertaining and the challenges they went through to get it to this point was jaw dropping- like moving the entire staircase between the first and third floor in order to open it to the 2nd floor...??? and opened up space for the most luxurious laundry room - EVER - that has chrome lines on the cabinet doors...... JUST WOW, and gooooood god - the vain on that marble ...🥹

Travel through time with estate jewelry dealer, designer, and jewelry historian Nia Tahani of The Gem Corps as we explore the nuance and depth of Blackamoor jewelry. During this lecture, you’ll have the opportunity to see rare pieces of antique and vintage blackamoor jewelry, a form of decorative art depicting people of the African diaspora, and dive deeper into the history, the controversy, and the evolution of the collectors’ sphere.

Nia Tahani is a jeweler, matron of decorative arts, and an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, guided by an insatiable curiosity for timeless pieces. A cross-cultural expert in jade, Blackamoor, and vintage as well as antique jewelry, her work is driven by the belief that adornment is our birthright, relating her passion for jewelry and gemstones through storytelling and deep material knowledge. Nia is also the designer behind Sweet CHAIRiot, a first-of-its-kind culturally informed Modern Heirloom. Connecting the ritual of adornment to art, history, and culture is at the center of everything she does.

Happy Monday dear friends, wow we are at the end of March- that went quick!
I have few pictures to share from an incredible property - started at Ghirardelli square, walked through the Francisco park green grass all the way to the peak of the Russian Hill to 999 Green st. The summer officially kicked off in the Bay Area. Yesterday I decided to go on a bike ride to Sausalito to start the week positivity and appreciation of the beauty of the nature. It almost felt like I was on an island spotting tour - first Alcatraz, Angel Island, then Treasure Island, and when I made it to Marin Headlands noticed Farallon Islands which usually visible in in the winter months when the air is cold and there is not that much water vaporizing in the air.
