Maloney Tax Service - for the DEAF Community

Maloney Tax Service - for the DEAF Community Welcome to Maloney Tax Service, run by Sean Maloney! My name is Sean Maloney. I’m a deaf accountant & tax professional, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Coming from Western Pennsylvania, for what our ancestors fought against negativity to make great things happen, we have a pride that keeps us working each & every day for a brighter future. It goes the same for being deaf. I fought every day of my life against the oppression. For believing that deaf people can accomplish anything, achieve the unimaginable, reach for the stars and can change the wo

rld. That’s why they called me a fighter, "The Tax Fighting Irish”, because I fight for you too thru my business as an accountant & tax professional. I will never stop believing, in the power of being deaf, for what God made us, for a purpose. About my education, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, with minor in finance and investment, from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. I’m also studying for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA). How did I get started? When I was the first deaf accountant at Western PA School for the Deaf, I noticed deaf employees need help with their income tax returns. They came to my office and asked if I could help them. They were frustrated with hearing tax preparers, with lack of communication and outrageous high fees. They felt that they were being taken advantage of. It was my destiny to put my skills into good use by offering the Deaf Community, a tax service that you all can afford.

They did a great thing with the protest, but stopped short from going further. Many Deaf Schools still have a FULL hearing board.
Can you imagine a black college have a FULL WHITE board???
NOPE! Black students would protest if that happens.
So, the Deaf community need to wake up & fight back!!!

DPN Days 5-6: As negotiations continued on March 10-11, 1988, students expressed their dissatisfaction with the slow progress. The sit-in remained a powerful symbol of their determination to achieve a deaf president. Their fight for representation was far from over.

That protest should NOT have be stopped. We should continue to fight for Deaf equal rights. If you look at Deaf schools around the country, most of their boards are filled with "HEARING" people. Why is that??? We have more work to do.

Today marks the 37th anniversary of the start of Deaf President Now.

Imagine this: on March 6, 1988, protesters swelled in numbers as students, faculty, and community members rallied for a deaf president at Gallaudet University. Student leaders began sharing their powerful messages in media interviews, shining a light on the vital importance of deaf representation. This year, that story is finally being brought to life in Apple Original Films’ “Deaf President Now!” sharing the inspiring tale of the greatest civil rights movement most people have never heard of.

They should NOT remove this. We need it to protect our rights as disabled Americans.

We should be doing this protest more often against Deaf schools around the country for not getting enough Deaf members on the board as well.
If you look at WPSD, how many Deaf are on the board?????
Think about it!!!

Dear Deaf People, our ADA is not threatened by removing DEI policy. Two totally different issues here. ADA is a law, protecting our disability rights.
