🥰 this is something I will always be thankful for.

I have a very love/hate relationship with this app. From ever changing guidelines and platform choices, to time sucks while scrolling, to fighting with the algorithm, to feeling like I’m putting in 10000% to get .01% back…I have been spending less and less time and energy on here.

BUT. Then I log back on, after a couple of days or weeks away, and I find messages like this and I remember why I’m here in the first place.

This message is from a client I worked with 4 years ago. She became a dear friend, and this app has kept us connected beyond our time working together. In fact, it’s this app that brought us together in the first place.

Now, this is not to say I’ll be back on here daily. Because, that’s just probably not going to happen 😆

But, it is a reminder (to myself and anyone else who needs to hear it) that there is still connection to be had in this space. And that’s what it was for in the first place ✨

It’s also a reminder to tell those people in your life (personal AND professional) that you are thankful for that they mean so much to you. It likely means more to them to hear it than you even realize. 💖

Ironically, it’s also very on theme as we wrap up Thanksgiving week and head right into the heart of the holiday season.

I’ve been thinking a lot about thankfulness / gratitude and its role in our lives & businesses. In fact, I wrote a blog about it. If you’d like to check it out, you know where to find it ☺️

Quick question for you: What if I told you that writing an employee handbook or setting up your team’s new office space could be just as creative as designing a stunning website? (I know, stick with me here...)

This week’s client spotlight features of , who started as a self-taught web designer and “accidentally” (through lots of hard work and scrappiness) built a thriving digital branding and marketing agency.

Better yet… The twist that surprised even her?

The most fulfilling part of her business today isn’t what you’d expect.

It’s NOT:
❌ web design work
❌ client experience
❌ branding projects

Jo even admits “I’m doing very little [traditional] creative work now,” 🤯

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to attend a workshop at the beautiful and amazing in NY’s Hudson Valley.

I’ve been so fortunate to work with my amazing client and the team for 2.5+ years now, and it was so lovely to see everyone in person and get the chance to learn from some amazing nature and botanical artists! The workshops this team puts together are top-notch and the community they have created is so welcoming and warm.

They are so welcoming, they even allowed me to bring my family along for the weekend. 🥰 My 8-year-old daughter has declared herself an artist-in-training and spent the whole weekend doing workshops, watching artist talks, and taking nature walks with me ((so thankful for such amazing quality time!)) And my husband and son popped in and out, spending equal times drawing and exploring the amazing Ashokan grounds.

It was SUCH a dreamy weekend! And now I’m anxiously awaiting next year! 🤗

Psst... engagement isn’t just about making your audience feel warm and fuzzy. 🤫

It’s also your ticket to becoming a mind-reading business guru. (No crystal ball required.)

3 totally selfish reasons to embrace engagement rhythms:

1️⃣ Free market research (cha-ching! 💰)
2️⃣ Psychic powers to predict the next big trend
3️⃣ Never create another offer that flops

Turns out, chatting with your people is the ultimate business hack. Who knew?

Curious how to turn small talk into big profits? I’m spilling all the tea in my latest blog.
