In 1965, Intelsat I, known as “Early Bird,” became the first commercial communications satellite. For the first time, North America and Europe were connected in real time through space

The satellite enabled regular live transatlantic television broadcasts and supported approximately 240 simultaneous two-way telephone circuits across the Atlantic. The phrase “live via satellite” entered common use as broadcasters began transmitting events across continents in real time.

International coordination became faster and more reliable. Governments, media networks, financial institutions, and corporations could exchange information with far less delay. As information moved faster, decision-making accelerated. Global markets became more responsive. The world became more connected.

Just another day at the office, and this PRS Custom 22 is casually lying around.

Quilted maple top, gold hardware, bird inlays, and if you look closely, a true one-piece maple top. No bookmatched seam. No shortcuts. Built in the early 2000s and originally strung with .009s from the factory, it is the kind of instrument that reminds you why craftsmanship still matters.

This beauty is balanced, resonant, and dangerously easy to play. Perfect for glassy cleans, expressive crunch, or a full send when meetings wrap early. Some offices keep stress balls. We apparently keep guitars.
