QuickBooks Ledger is a low-cost software option for about $10 per month compared to Simple Start ($35 per month), Essentials ($65 per month) etc.

QuickBooks Ledger could be a good option for you if you're currently tracking your income and expenses with a spreadsheet, your entity has minimal transactions per month, you're a service-based business, or you're a rental property owner. We all love the holiday season, but sadly it is quickly followed by tax season! No need to worry. We have a few simple tips that will help you and your CPA during tax time:

1. Keep business and personal expenses on separate bank cards.
2. Use a free software such as Expensify to digitize and track your receipts.
3. Simplify your chart of accounts—most small businesses only need 15 to 20 accounts.
4. If you own more than one business, keep their money as separate as possible.
5. Sync your bank with your accounting file and set up rules to minimize data entry.
