💙 FINAL CALL! Will You Stand With Us? 💗

There are only a few days left to let me know if you’ll be joining us at the Nebraska State Capitol.

RSVP by Monday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m.

For the fourth year, families will gather together for the Governor’s proclamation signing of Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day.

📅 Tuesday, September 15
⏰ 9:00 a.m.
📍 Nebraska State Capitol, Lincoln

For some of us, our babies are not physically here to stand beside us.

But we can stand for them.
We can say their names.
We can carry their stories.
We can make sure they are remembered.
And we can use our voices to call for greater awareness, prevention, research, and change. ❤️

Your presence may feel like a small thing, but when we stand together, it sends a powerful message: Our babies matter. Their lives matter. Their families matter.

I would be honored to have you there as we stand together. For our babies. For our families. For change.

💙💗 If you want to stand with us at the Capitol, message me by 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 7.

💜 UPDATE: Our Virtual Wave of Light spoken name reading has reached its capacity of 1,000 baby names. We are so honored by the incredible response.

If you were not able to submit your baby's name before the ceremony reached capacity, we would still be honored to include them in our October 15 social media Remembrance Tribute.

Names for the tribute *must* be submitted through the link below. Please note that names left in the comments are not automatically submitted or added to either tribute.

https://www.gatheringhope.net/our-community-remembers 💜🫶

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Together, we’ll hear each little one’s name spoken and remembered. 💜

If you have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, we would be honored to remember your baby with you. If you haven’t chosen a name for your baby, please don’t let that keep you from participating. You are welcome to submit a nickname, “Baby + Last Name,” or something that feels right to you. Your baby’s life is worthy of remembering!

With Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month just around the corner, we’re inviting loss moms, dads, siblings, supporters, grandparents, family and friends to join a worldwide movement of remembrance. One of the most meaningful ways we do that is through our annual Virtual Wave of Light Ceremony.

The first 1,000 names submitted by September 10 (or sooner if capacity is reached) will be spoken during our Virtual Wave of Light Ceremony and included in an October 15 Remembrance Tribute on social media.

**Only names submitted through the Google form will be included in the ceremony and post.**

And if you love someone who has experienced the loss of a baby, please share this with them. You may be the reason they discover a community ready to remember alongside them.

💜 Submit a baby’s name through the link in our bio and then join us October 15 at 7:00 p.m. CT on Gathering Hope’s YouTube channel for our Virtual Wave of Light Ceremony. Submit names here: https://www.gatheringhope.net/our-community-remembers

💙 What if showing up could help save a baby’s life?

For National Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day, we’re gathering in Omaha for Bridge to Prevention: Moment of Remembrance for National Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day, an evening to honor babies lost to stillbirth, support the families who carry their memory, and raise awareness about stillbirth prevention.

More than 21,000 babies are stillborn every year in the United States. This event brings our community together to remember those babies and to learn, share, and speak up for prevention.

🌉 Join us as the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge glows in honor of babies lost to stillbirth.

What happens at the event:
🎗️ A meaningful Moment of Remembrance
💬 Stories, education & tools focused on prevention
👣 A walk across the bridge to raise awareness
🌸 Remembrance signs and community support

You do not have to have experienced stillbirth to join us. Whether you are a bereaved parent, family member, friend, healthcare professional, advocate, or someone who believes every baby deserves a chance, there is a place for you here.

💙 Come remember. Come learn. Come stand with families. Come be part of the movement to prevent stillbirth.

International Bereaved Father’s Day is a reminder that dads grieve too. Behind the strength, there can be heartbreak, longing, and a lifetime of missing the little one they never got to hold or hold for long.

To every bereaved dad: your baby matters, your grief matters, and you are not forgotten. 💙🩵

We remember your babies with you. 👣✨

Happy Community Health Workers Week! You make a difference!

It’s Community Health Worker Week Y’all!

This last week of August is dedicated to the folks who help make health care more accessible and community-centered.

They are trusted members of our community. They bridge the gap between health and social services by providing health education, connecting people to resources, navigating systems, and offering ongoing support to address the social drivers of health.

They’re our outreach workers, patient navigators, doulas and health promoters. Whatever the title, their impact is invaluable.

They listen.
They connect.
They advocate.
They empower.
They build trust.

This week, (and every week), we celebrate them. 🥳
Thank you, Community Health Workers, for all you do!
