If you created an account with Social Security several years ago, you will need to update your login information. Be sure to go directly to SSA.gov to do so. There will be a ton of malicious email out there taking people to fake sites to steal credentials or other personal information, so don't respond to emails. Instead, go directly to SSA.gov (note - not .com or anything else), SSA.gov is the official Social Security website.
