New preparers: nobody is telling you THIS about getting clients…

Stop thinking you need 300–400 clients to make good money.
You don’t.

Your first goal is 100 clients.
And you can absolutely hit that if you’re intentional.

Here’s the real strategy:

• Pass out 100 flyers a day (yes, 100)
• Talk to 5 people a day about your services
• Join local Facebook groups + give VALUE, not sales
• Focus on family, coworkers, community
• Charge your worth AND understand your backend fees
• Show up consistently people trust consistency

Don’t overthink it.
Client growth is a math game, not magic.
If you touch enough people, your numbers WILL grow.

Let me put y’all on real quick because beginners NEVER get told this…

Everybody talks about how much money you can make doing taxes… but nobody explains backend fees.
And backend fees will make or break your whole season.

Most new preparers only look at the price of the software upfront.
Big mistake.

You NEED to understand:

• software fee
• transmitter fee
• SB fee
• technology fee
• doc fee

Add them up.

Because if you charge $500–$800 per client but your backend is eating $350+…
You’re basically working for FREE and don’t even know it.

Be delusional about your numbers.
Know EXACTLY what you’re earning per return.
Understand every fee, every split, every dollar.

If you do this now, you’ll be ahead of 90% of new tax preparers this season.
